A goal 7 minutes from time saved Clonmel Celtic from their second successive defeat as they earned a 3-3 draw at Bansha Celtic last Sunday. Clonmel Celtic took an early lead when Paddy O'Donnell tapped home after a Graham Doyle shot came off the post. Bansha equalised shortly afterwards before last season's leading scorer, Paddy O'Donnell netted to give Celtic a 2-1 interval lead. Newly promoted Bansha, who had a creditable draw with Killusty in their first game, scored twice in the second half and looked to be on course for all three points before Eddie Doyle scored a fine solo effort to secure a point for Clonmel Celtic. With only one point from a possible six at this early stage Celtic must be considered rank outsiders for honours. However, for different reasons the point gained on Sunday may prove invaluable by the end of the season. You feel it is imperative now that Celtic pick up their first win sooner rather than later.
