Last December Bansha Celtic dealt Clonmel Celtic's league hopes a serious blow when they inflicted a 4-3 defeat on the Clonmel side at Celtic Park. After 10 minutes of this game it looked as if they had all but ended Celtic's slim title hopes as they raced into a 2-0 lead. Celtic, still missing some key players, are struggling to find their early season form and struggled to keep in touch with Bansha. However a brace from Paul Kennedy had Celtic level at the break. Celtic continued to find the going tough in the second half but they got the all important winner when Paul Kennedy completed his hat trick. If there is a more consistent goal scorer in Tipperary then Paul Kennedy I have yet to see him. While Jamie Kelly received the accolades for his goal scoring feats at youth level last season Paul Kennedy is having a fantastic season with an amazing 23 goals to his credit. Celtic are now on 17 points with half their league campaign over and considering they finished on 18 points last season Kenny O'Shea has done a terrific job. Still there is plenty to play for with the Tipperary Cup a definite target, and their highest ever league finish still a real prospect. While it would be hard to ignore a hat trick hero in considering man of the match, if I had to Brian Waters would receive the award for his efforts last Sunday.
