Cullen Latten 0 Clonmel Celtic 3

As expected Clonmel Celtic advanced to the third round of the Tipperary Cup with a 3-0 win away to third division Cullen Lattin. Although it was comfortable in the end Celtic hard to work hard and struggled at times before eventually getting to grips with the game opposition. After weeks of bad weather Celtic had to contend with a very poor pitch along with a battling Cullen Lattin side keen to cause an upset. Celtic hit the lead on 30 minutes when Adam McSherry fired to the net from outside the box and this remained the only goal of the first half. Celtic calmed any nerves on 70 minutes when Adam McSherry scored his and his side's second with a fine free kick. However credit to Cullen Lattin, despite conceding a 2nd they took the game to Celtic and caused the Premier side a worrying last 20 minutes hitting the crossbar and forcing some saves from Celtic custodian John Ryan. Kenny O'Shea sealed a place in the last sixteen for Celtic on 90 minutes when he fired home the rebound after his won header came off the bar from Ian Kavanagh's corner.
