St. Michaels 8 Clonmel Celtic 0

Clonmel Celtic finished their season as they started it by going down to a heavy home defeat. After 35 minutes of this game no one would have envisaged the final score being 8-0 as it was a keenly contested affair up until then. However the sending off of Johnny Cagney after 35 minutes had a huge negative effect on Celtic. Sean O’Halloran scored soon afterwards to put St Michaels 1-0 up at the break. Paul Breen scored a second shortly after half time and with that Celtic crumbled and further goals from Sean O’Halloran, who completed his hat trick, Paul Breen with his second, Robbie Kiely and James Walsh completed a nightmare afternoon for Celtic.
