Clonmel Celtic got back to winning ways with a crucial victory away to Peake Villa last Sunday. This win in Thurles was most welcome indeed. Celtic were the more impressive team in the first half and they took advantage of defensive errors to cruise into a 2-0 half time lead. Paddy O'Donnell put Celtic ahead on 13 minutes and on the half hour mark Barry O'Neill punished hesitancy in the Villa defence to put Celtic two up. Peake Villa were a better side in the second half but Celtic defended well to limit Villa to one goal and come away with all three points.
