Despite missing one or two regulars Clonmel Celtic still proved too good for Villa as a 2-0 win in Thurles last Thursday night saw them seal third spot, their highest ever league finish. With an important cup semi final in 5 days you would have understood if Celtic were not fully focussed on their last league game but first half goals from Paddy O'Donnell and Paul Kennedy saw Celtic claim the points. Celtic finish the season on an impressive 34 points just three points adrift of champions Clonmel Town so whatever happens in the cup it has been a memorable season and one we hope we can build on. Congratulations to Kenny O'Shea and his squad for this fantastic achievement.
