Fortunately I couldn't make it to this game as Celtic crashed out of the Tipperary Cup going down 4-1 to Peake Villa. By all accounts it was a dismal performance, shrewn with errors and a late consolation goal from Stephen Ryan did little to raise spirits. Celtic have to meet Villa again in the league and a repeat of this performance will see them playing first division football next year. To complete a bad weekend for Celtic they now find themselves in the bottom two following Rosegreen's win against Borris. On a more positive note, with games in hand, they still have Old Bridge, Rosegreen and Borris in their sights and their destiny is in their own hands. So lets hope they can produce one final effort which will produce the results that will keep them in the Premier. With positive developments happening off the pitch, construction of new dressing rooms should start shortly, it would be a pity if the club went down this season. Lets go for it.
