Update -

  • Juniors: Three goals in the last 12 minutes saw Clonmel Celtic eventually overcome Cahir Park to run out comfortable 4-1 winners in Clonmel last Sunday. Celtic got the perfect start when Ian McCollum headed home from a corner but this lead was shortlived as Martin Burke replied for the visitors on 12 minutes. Celtic were the better side in the first half with Adam McSherry going close with a couple of free kicks. Celtic upped the tempo in the second  ........ Full match report available ....[here]
  • Second Team: To complete a great weekend for the club the B team won the Division 3 title by collecting the point they needed in a 2-2 draw away to St Kierans. Despite losing a 2 goal lead given to them by Paddy 'Wack' O'Donnell Celtic held on for the point that sees them add the Division 3 crown to the Shield they won last autumn. Congratulations to Brianie Landers and his squad on an excellent season. League table available ....[here].
  • Schoolboys: The under 14s had a convincing 6-0 win over Cashel Town last Saturday morning. A wonder strike from John Keogh put Celtic on their way to a well deserved win. The Kilsheelan contingent played a prominent part in this victory with both Adrian McGuire and Alex Hatre adding goals before the break. Michael Lynch and Jeff Jones were controlling midfield with intelligent use of the ball while Michael Lynch impressed at the back. Despite playing into the wind in the second half Celtic remained on top with Rohan Kahn, Michael Noonan and Conor Acheson all adding goals to see Celtic complete a successful morning’s work. John Keogh was man of the match.
Training continues Tuesday 5-7pm and Friday at 5.15pm. Moulded studs or trainers only and please bring shin pads.
  • The club would like to congratulate the second team on winning both the Division 3 league and shield. It was a great achievement and the players and management should all be proud of themselves.

  • Sponsorship: Clonmel Celtic would like to thank Colville Hunt Ltd for its generous sponsorship of a new set of jerseys.
  • Sponsorship: Clonmel Celtic would like to thank Paddy Millea for sponsoring Clonmel Celtic polo shirts and Old Bridge Centra who sponsored a new set of jerseys for the club.
