Clonmel Celtic U13s had 2 games in the last 5 days and emerged unbeaten from this double header against Moyglass Utd and Shanbally Utd. They had to settle for a draw last Thursday evening after leaving a four goal lead slip. Celtic raced out of the blocks and with the aid of the wind found themselves 4-0 up after just 20 minutes with a brace from Ciaran Horgan added to by a Cormac Lucey goal and an og. However the visitors found their feet and got right back into the tie and Celtic found themselves hanging on a little as they had to eventually settle for a point in a 4-4 draw.
The boys looked much more assured last night as a goal in each half gave them a 2-0 win against Shanbally Utd. Ciaran Horgan was rewarded for his persistence as he made things difficult for the defender by chasing what looked like a lost cause to force the ball home. Celtic made sure of the points with a splendid strike from Noa Durcanski after good build up play from Celtic.
